I like to think of this as a generational product. The timber is sourced from a plantation established more than 30 years ago, through many hours of hard slogging under the hot Queensland sun, by my husbands’ parents. As the harvest of the oil is no longer a viable option, we are exploring and finding alternate uses for the timber. As such, I have been absolutely delighted by the strength and beauty of the timber slices which I have used to make the necklaces.
